Author joins Philadelphia Eagles Coaching Staff

Coach Jeff Nixon, Author of Running Back Skills and Fundamentals, a CompuSports multimedia eBook publication, has joined the staff of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jeff wrote two books and compiled the Running Back eBook/Drills video while at Shippensburg University during the 2001 and 2002 seasons. CompuSports' team worked with Coach Nixon to optimize the video for delivery as a multimedia computer publication and to prepare the video for distribution. The book became the first publication of CompuSports that blended written and video content, and was released during 2003.

In his new role, Coach Nixon will work as a Special Teams Quality Control coach, which comes as no surprise since he also authored Sudden Impact - Coaching the Kickoff Return.

Coach Nixon's books have been used by football coaches at the Youth, High School and College levels and received 100% positive feedback when they were periodically featured in CompuSports' eBay Outlet Center.

CompuSports, which specializes in Football Coaching Software, publishes a handful of football coaching books in eBook format. Along with the Nixon books, its more popular titles include:

The Master Defense - written by Bob Troppmann, legendary California High School Football Coach. Bob's start pupil and friend is Pete Carroll, current Head Football Coach at USC.

The Shotgun and The Modern Short Punt - written by legendary New York High School Football Coach Lou Howard.
